About us

Handtmann Group

The Handtmann Group, exclusively in the hands of the Handtmann family, now in its 5th generation, has had its headquarters in Germany since 1873, in the town of Biberach in Baden-Württemberg. The name Handtmann has been synonymous with sustainable technological development for over a century, which is born from dialogue and a sense of responsibility and participation towards its customers and employees. Even today, the company puts at the center of its business the values transmitted by the founder, Christoph Albert Handtmann, who started the company with the foundry for the production of brass bells. Today, as then, the success of the Handtmann family is linked to the strategic and entrepreneurial vision, the passion for technological innovation at the service of the food and manufacturing industry, the attention to detail and pragmatism typical of the Swabian people. Even today, corporate control and management of the group, divided into 5 autonomous divisions, is exercised personally by the members of the Handtmann family, with Thomas Handtmann as chairman of the holding company since 1998 and the members of the fifth generation involved in outlining development strategies for the years to come. To date, the Handtmann Group's business is divided into the following divisions:

  • Bagging, dosing, portioning and forming systems for the food and petfood industry
  • Process technology for the beverage industry
  • Polyamide Engineering
  • Aluminium and magnesium foundry
  • Systems engineering for the Automotive sector
